The Supplement That Brought My Dogs Back

5 Signs Your Dog Needs a Probiotic

My dogs are my kids and I like to think I do everything I can to give them the best quality of life possible. They get good food, plenty of toys to play with, a great yard, and lots of affection and walks – but I had no idea what was missing until my vet recommended a joint supplement.

My dogs are “middle aged” in dog years which means they aren’t puppies anymore, but I also hadn’t noticed any signs of them feeling sore or having trouble getting up so I assumed everything was fine. Then a vet friend of mine told me I should start them on a preventative hip & joint supplement. I’m all about prevention so after talking to my vet and doing some research, I found a supplement from Feed A Shelter Dog that came highly recommended. I started adding it to their food and before long I noticed some big changes.

As I said, my dogs aren’t seniors yet but they did seem to be sleeping a lot during the day. I assumed this was just how they were as adults. But after I gave them the hip & joint supplement for a couple weeks I noticed something amazing. They were playing more. They were running more. They were doing more. My older dog (who has always been a bit of a grump), seemed to be in a better mood overall. My younger dog started bounding all over the place. I hadn’t even noticed how much they had changed over the years because it happened so gradually, but now seeing them so much more active, it all came rushing back.

They are themselves again. I can’t tell you how amazing it is watching them now. It’s obvious they feel better and they are clearly getting so much more out of life. I only wish I had heard about this supplement sooner!

If you would like to get this joint supplement for your dog, it isn’t available in stores, but you can order it online here. Plus, as the name suggests, every time you order a bag, you Feed A Shelter Dog for a month. Talk about win-win!

  1. Interested but our dog has pancreatic disease. Not sure how this medicine works with malabsorption issues.

    • I’m sorry to hear about your dog! We would recommend checking with your vet about adding this supplement to their diet.

    • My GSD has EPI also, what medicine is your pup on currently? Since he has been diagnosed I have come to realize how common the pancreas gives out in GSDs

  2. Thanks for the information. My girl is 7mo old and I already thought about this subject.

  3. What’s the name of the supplement? I don’t see it anywhere.

  4. I have a 1 year old German Shepherd
