10 Dog Parenting Tips To Help You Keep Your Dogs Super Happy! (Part 2)

Dogs can thrive if they’re provided an environment that helps keep them happy and healthy. Instead of buying them expensive toys and clothes, remember, it’s the little things that make the difference! Check out Part 1 and when you’re done, here are a few more tips to help you keep your dogs smiling throughout their lives!

1. Socialize them

Keeping a dog locked at home is only going to make them aggressive because they get bored easily. They need to release their excess energy and there’s no better way them helping them socialize! Whether you take them to dog parks, out for walks arrange playdates or do all three (best!) socializing will help boost your dog’s confidence!

2. Say no to table scraps

No matter how much your dog begs you to let them have table scraps, don’t give in to their demand. Giving your dog table scraps will not only encourage him to beg more but also put them at risk for eating something they shouldn’t. Plus you don’t want your dog to get overweight.

3. Don’t forget to groom them

Remember to stick to your grooming routine when it comes to brushing your dog’s coat to remove knots and mats. Also, remember to brush your dog’s teeth because oral hygiene is equally important. While you don’t have to groom your dog every day, you have to do it at least a few times a week to keep their coat healthy… and oh so soft!

4. Don’t forget to pet your dogs!

Not only will petting your dog reduce your stress, but it will also help you identify any new lumps or bumps you were unaware of! Plus, petting will calm your dog and make him know that you love him forever and ever!

5. Make sure you know what to do in case of an emergency

As a dog parent, you have to be prepared for anything and everything, your dog’s life depends on it. Make sure you know what to do during an earthquake, a tornado, a flood, or just a simple bruise.
