When I go to the dog park I come across many different kinds of dog parents, and I’m sure you do too! I’ve since then realized that like there are many dog breeds, there are also many breeds of dog parents! Here are some kinds of dog parents you’ll come across! Here’s Part 1 in case you missed it!
1. The biker dad
This dad knows that the best way to enjoy the world with his dog is with a bike! All this dad needs is a few cans of beer, his dog, and his bike and they’re all set. To this dad, life’s a road that he and his dog are ready to explore! The only time they stop is when he or his dog has to pee, but that 15 minutes only!
2. The girl-next-door mom
This mom is shy, dependable, and super cute! She’s also got a great dog! This mom is usually seeing doing things others would be lazy to do, like walking her dog to get mail in a nice track suit, or taking her dog out for a walk in the evening in a beautiful dress. This mom will be there for you until she moves out with her dog, which she eventually will.
3. The super exhausted dog parent
This poor dog parent can’t catch a break because everything, for this parent, is an emergency. Either they’ll be finding poop bags even when they have a dozen stocked up, or picking up poop before it hits the ground. This parent is nearly always pooped out and can’t wait to go back home, drink a glass of wine and just sleep. But here’s a secret – this parent knows that there are never enough poop bags. Whether you have a dozen, two or five, you’re still low on poop bags.
4. The outdoorsy dog parent
Holidays and weekends? These parents are almost always hiking and camping with their dogs whenever they get the opportunity. For these dogs, quality bonding happens when you’re away from busy lives and in the middle of nowhere. This parent is always happy when it’s time to hit the road with their dogs!
5. The senior dog parent
So what if they’re seniors? They know the secret to living a healthy life is being active and the happiness and love they share with their dog. They don’t mind sharing all the memories they’ve had with their dogs and you know what? You might learn a thing or two from these real-life experts! They’ll constantly be telling others how important it is to appreciate the times they have with their dogs!
