4 Things To Keep In Mind When You Have Dogs And Full-Time Jobs

We’d love to be with our dogs all day long, but sadly, most of us have to work outdoors, and many dog owners have full-time jobs. You need to hope and pray that your dog doesn’t get up to any mischief while you’re gone, but how can you be responsible when you’re not home for many hours?

Here are 4 tips for this situation:

Prepare Distractions

Keep your dog occupied and therefore out of trouble while you’re gone by giving them distractions. Make sure they have varied toys and prepare some puzzle toys to keep them busy.

Hire A Dog Walker

If your dog stays inside while you’re gone, they may have trouble holding their bladders. Alternatively, they may just get very bored. A dog walker can not only ensure your dog gets to use the bathroom when needed, but also that they get regular exercise.

Spend Free Time With Them

Whenever you’re free, make sure you’re setting aside some time to hang out with your canine companion. They miss you whenever you’re gone and deserve your undivided love and affection every day!

Bring Your Dog With You

If your office or workplace is dog friendly, you can ask your manager or boss if you can bring your dog along with you. Tuck them under your desk with a familiar dog bed and toy.
