Adorable Pup Becomes Foster Dad To Another Batch Of Orphaned Ducklings!

Some of us who are bird enthusiasts will know that ducks aren’t the best mothers. They often end up leaving their eggs completely abandoned – which obviously doesn’t end well!

Usually, we can just give them to hens who will raise the ducklings as their own, but what if you have no mama hen handy?

You can hatch the ducklings with artificial incubators, thankfully, but you still can’t really raise the ducklings. Not very well, anyway. So that’s where Fred the 11-year-old Labrador Retriever from Mountfitchet Castle in Essex steps in!

This pup had already gotten famous before for fostering a whole 9 ducklings the last time, and it looks like it’s time for him to become famous again – for the exact same reason! Except this time, it may be a little harder – he now has fourteen charges to keep an eye on. Hopefully, this dad will do a great job!
