Adorable Pup Feels So Much Better When His Best Friend Joins Him With A Cone!

Barley the golden retriever pup loves his Dad and Mom, Marc Wisselo and Zita Butler, very much. He lives with them in a lovely Amsterdam home. But there’s someone else who is just as important to the little pup – and it’s not a living creature!

Fluffy is a stuffed dog toy that has an uncanny resemblance to Barley. He was the first toy that his Mom and Dad gave him. They’d bought it for him a week before he arrived. The purchase was made at an IKEA, where they saw the golden retriever plushies and just couldn’t resist!

Barley and Fluffy are almost never seen apart. The pup brings his friend out when he needs to use the bathroom, when he goes out for walks, and even when he’s just relaxing or snoozing. Most commonly, you can see the pup and his favorite toy cuddling together on the sofa, where they make an absolutely adorable sight.

Fluffy also tags along when Barley and his parents go on all their holidays. They have been to France, Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, and Barley was never without his favorite toy in any of those spots! He even came with them when Barley rode in the special bicycles that his dad built just for him – “bakfiets” that are perfect for bringing children and pups along!

But recently, Fluffy has helped Barley through a very difficult time. Barley had recently been neutered and had to wear an embarrassing and annoying cone around his head. He was so sad and discouraged because of his unfortunate new look that his parents decided to get Fluffy his own cone of shame!

For some reason, seeing Fluffy in the same predicament as himself gave Barley the strength he needed to pull through and persevere through his recovering weeks.

It’s a good thing that Barley has such a loyal friend to help him out, even if that friend happens to be a toy. His parents always make sure that he has extra Fluffies in store, just in case anything happens to his current one.

It’s safe to say that Barley will be enjoying Fluffy’s companionship for many years to come!
