Loni Gaisford was at Utah’s Mick Riley Golf Course with her family when she spotted something quite out of the ordinary on a metal fence near the fourth hole.
It was a ring of attached golf balls around an open “window” in the fence. Curious, Gaisford and her family went up to investigate and found something adorable!
A sign affixed near the ring of golf balls introduced a pup named River, a 5-year-old pooch. The sign proclaimed that whenever she found a lost ball, he would add it to the “necklace” in the fence. It also wished golfers potential luck. Gaisford and her family looked up to spot the pup in question, and she was playing in her backyard, which happened to be next to the course!
River walked up to the people to greet them and accepted some back rubs through the hole. But when it was time for Gaisford and her family to leave, the pup dropped her toy to stick her head out of the window and ask for proper scritches!
That’s when comments began to pour in, and Gaisford discovered that River was pretty well-known among regulars of the course! This has apparently been going on for a while, and the pup is a little bit of a celebrity, with players hoping to get on her good side or be greeted by her friendly love!
Basically, River has been brightening days left and right for a long time, and Gaisford was the latest she could add to her list. Although we don’t know how their game went, it’s safe to say that they found their own special hole-in-one when meeting the pup!
