It is always interesting to see the reasons behind the establishment of a pup breed. Sometimes, that history gives you some interesting insight on why a pup has the characteristics they do – like a Labrador Retriever with their strong, whippy tails and webbed feet!
Just what are they doing with those things?
As it turns out, these unique physical characteristics – including their incredible energy levels – are so they can be great swimmers! These pups were bred to retrieve fowl and the like, and it seems that this need to go after things hasn’t been bred out of them yet – just look at Rocco the Labrador Retriever go after that bottle!
It is clear that this pup is having the time of his life swimming after his target and bringing it back to his parent. Some things just are hardwired into pups like Rocco, and brings them great joy to execute those tasks they were bred for!
