Many pups have difficulty with some aspects of training, and there’s no shame in getting some help. Nala the German shepherd pup came to Camp K9 Training at three years old with serious anxiety problems.
Around strangers and people other than family, the pup would panic and become extremely stressed out.
So a trainer took her to a Lowe’s Home Improvement branch and took her to sit on a bench at the entrance of the store, where many people would pass by. At first, Nala panicked a lot. She panted and whined almost non-stop, showing a lot of signs of nervousness. If she stopped for even a moment, she was rewarded with affection.
It took fifteen minutes before the pup was calm enough to sit down and get comfortable, but she was still a little shaken. Then, at nineteen minutes, the pup was completely relaxed. Amazing! It just took some consistency and patience, and the pup was able to adapt. What a good girl! She’s such a brave pup, and the trainer did a great job. Like and share away!
