Dad Immediately Puts His Car Up For Sale To Help Save His Adorable Pup's Life

Gemini was just a tiny puppy when he first met his Dad, Randy Etter, two years ago. They’ve since become best friends who share a beautiful and close bond. That’s why it comes as little surprise that Etter was willing to do absolutely anything to save Gemini.

The pup and the daughter of Etter’s girlfriend were playing one day in March. The young child was just a baby, so she didn’t understand that some things weren’t safe for pups. She began throwing her bottle at Gemini, who would dutifully fetch it. Etter would take the bottle, wash it, and return it to the little girl.

Then tragedy struck. Gemini managed to grab the bottle and, before Etter noticed, began to chew on it and managed to eat something from the top. But Etter had no idea that this happened until he noticed Gemini slowing down, becoming clingier, and looking unwell. Then he began to throw up non-stop.

Etter knew, at that moment, that something had gone terribly wrong. But countless different vets couldn’t find the cause of the problem. Luckily, one finally did – a blockage was affecting the pup. The surgery to have it removed would cost a whopping $4,500, something Etter couldn’t afford.

But Etter couldn’t lose his best friend, so he attempted to sell his car. He got a $2,000 loan from a friend, but his car wasn’t selling and he didn’t know what to do.

That’s when the Street Outreach Animal Response Initiative, a charity, caught wind of the situation. They began to try and raise funds for Etter, and in a short amount of time, amassed $3,000 in stranger’s donations!

With this money, Etter could afford Gemini’s surgery – and the pup survived! He’s now resting and recovering with his Dad, who he now knows for certain will give up anything for him!
