Experts Are Going To Create A Pet Translator That'll Help You Talk To Your Pets!

The day is finally here! You have probably all wished at some point that you could have a conversation with your dog – right?

Wouldn’t you love to know why they do some of the things they do? Wouldn’t it be great if they could tell you when they did not feel well (so you don’t have to guess)? Animal behavior expert, Dr. Con Slobodchikoff has been using artificial intelligence, or AI, to help pets and their parents communicate! Slobodchikoff has been working with prairie dogs for nearly thirty years.

He noticed and their behaviors and began to decode the different ways they communicated with each other. Then Slobodchikoff watched some dog’s behavior and realized he could develop a way for everyone to understand what animals are saying – by interpreting body language. He will use an algorithm that will turn dog vocalizations into words. Dogs won’t be able to talk to you. Instead, you will be able to understand their needs or wants by watching their gestures and movements.

Slobodchikoff believes that in maybe ten years, we will be able to understand every gesture or movement our pets make! To help make his lifetime of work a reality, last year, Slobodchikoff started the company “Zoolingua” that will use AI to study gestures and expression of different dogs.
