Here's An Epic Way To Help Shelter Pups While Playing Pokemon Go!

What if you could play an exciting game while helping out a pup who really wants to go for a walk? Well, an Indiana shelter is asking people to do just that by taking advantage of an application taking the world by storm.

If you’ve been alive at all in the past two months, you’ve probably have heard of Pokémon Go, the latest craze that’s hit several parts of the world and millions of smartphones. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Pokémon Go is an augmented reality-based game that allows you to capture and interact with virtual creatures – that is, Pokémon – based on real-world maps using the GPS on your phone.

Are you joining in on the craze? Well, while you’re out and about searching for rare Pokémon, why not do a good deed? The Muncie Animal Shelter in Muncie, Indiana has been encouraging Pokémon trainers to drop by and help them out while they traverse their areas for adventure. This smart idea was shared with the world in a Facebook post on Tuesday:

“Trying to hatch an egg or catch rare Pokémon? Come down to the Muncie Animal Shelter to walk one of our dogs while you get your steps in! Just come to the front desk and say you are here for the Pokémon dogs!”

Why not kill two birds with one stone this week? Give a pup some much-needed attention and exercise! If you’re interested, you can drop by the shelter and walk some fur balls between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Do give this a like and share so others can find out about this news, too!
