Poor German Shepherd With Muzzle Duct Taped Rescued From A Busy Highway

An abandoned German shepherd pup was recently rescued from a busy highway and when rescues neared him, they couldn’t believe that his muzzle was taped shut with a duct tape. Heights of cruelty.

According to the original uploader on YouTube, “A German shepherd who had his muzzle duct-taped shut was found on the Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst, New York on April 9. After the dog was taken in by the Babylon Animal Shelter, the local police notified the Suffolk County SPCA.

And now, that SPCA branch is looking for answers–and offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible. Roy Gross, Chief of the Suffolk County SPCA, said, “to leave this dog unable to eat or drink, abandoned and frightened on a busy road is heartbreaking.” Detectives with the organization are currently investigating the incident as an instance of animal cruelty.”

This is heartbreaking, to be honest. If you can’t care for your pup anymore why not surrender them properly at a shelter where they’ll be looked after until they find their forever loving homes? Why do people have to be so cruel to their pups? This is really sad, and for the sake of this fur ball, I really do hope that the person responsible is booked.
