Some survival stories are too wonderful not to tell, especially when they show that the compassion of people in the world can save lives.
Dubby the pup was given three to six months to live without undergoing expensive surgery, but his Daddy Alfred Broadbent was determined to keep him around.
Broadbent originally got Dubby as a way of seeking comfort after the school shooting in Virginia in 2007. The pup was there for his Daddy through everything, but at nine years old, he began to develop a mast cell tumor. Doctors needed to act soon, or the pup wouldn’t survive the next three to six months. Broadbent took to creating a fundraiser and asking the world for donations and help.
And it worked! In time, the donations grew and Dubby was able to receive the treatment he needed. It involved many surgeries and lots of rest and recovery, but the strong pup pulled through and is now better than ever. What a touching tale! Do like and share!
