When you get out the laser, your fur ball is likely to chase it and this has been explained many times by numerous people. The one thing you need to know is that it can make them nuts! Whenever a little bead of light catches your fur ball’s eyes, nothing can stop them from trying to capture it! But this can be a little problematic.
According to Nicholas Dodman, a professor of animal behavior at Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, “They can get so wound up and driven with prey drive that once they start chasing the light they can’t stop. It becomes a behavior problem.”
