It is always heartbreaking to see animals in pet shelters – many of them were abused or abandoned, and are deserving of loving forever homes.
Even worse is that some of these pups find it harder to get themselves adopted, simply because they aren’t as conventionally attractive, purebred, disabled, or even the colour black! It really is a shame, considering many of these sweet animals deserve so much better.
Which is why it is such a good thing that organisations like United Hope for Animals exist! Although not a shelter in and of itself, the organization does its best to shine the spotlight on some of these animals. Hopefully, with the attention they are given, they will have a chance to catch the eye of their potential future family!
Today’s feature is Lyla the 2-year-old German Shepherd. Still a puppy at heart, she is a sweet, energetic thing hoping to find an active family.
For more information on this pet, contact volunteer UHA adoption coordinator Viri at 626-318-2038 or vfloera@gmail.com. We wish her good luck!
