We are all vocal creatures – we use a variety of sounds to communicate in all sorts of ways! This is probably why we ascribe so much meaning to sounds we make, and are capable of music!
The only other species that can appreciate music on the same level we do are birds, who share a similar level of vocal communication!
This doesn’t mean that pups can’t vocalise in all sorts of ways too, however. Enzo the English Bulldog is an excellent example of that! Just look at how he is clearly a happy pup, delighted to receive all the belly scratches and attention he can possibly get from Mom! In fact, he is so happy, he can’t keep quiet!
Mom playfully calls the noise Enzo makes his “gremlin sounds”, and we have to agree it’s an apt name. At the very least, it means he is a happy pup – so more of this is always appreciated!
