Apart from obedience commands, the playing dead trick might just be the most common one learned by pups all around the world.

We all know it – when the pup’s parent says “bang”, accompanied by a finger gun motion, the pup rolls onto their back and lies still.

But Sam the German shepherd pup might just have the most dramatic version of this adorable trick! When Daddy asks if she wants a treat, she knows she must execute some commands in order to receive it, so she knows she has to do her best. She follows “sit” and “stay”, and then Daddy shouts “bang!” Immediately, the pup yelps theatrically, as though she really has been shot, and spins around before tumbling to the ground in a heap. Amazing!
