One invaluable lesson for pups to learn is how to heel. This means that they will be trained to walk next to their parents or handlers while on a leash, so they don’t lag behind or pull forward.
Not only does that make the pup more well-behaved, it’s also much safer as they will be by their handler’s side the whole time!
That’s why Ava the German shepherd pup must train regularly to ensure that she heels properly. She’s following a two-week-long board and train program at the the Off Leash K9 Training Phoenix, so it’s only natural that heeling is part of her repertoire. She does very well alongside her handler, making sure to walk neatly next to her. Good girl!
