Woman Adopts 16-Year-Old Pup To Show Her What A Loving Family Is Like...

We often hear about pups improving their family’s lives. But sometimes, it’s love and care from a human that can save a pup.

Lola, found as a stray beagle pup, was 16 years old when she was placed at the Animal Welfare League Queen Anne’s County.

The poor pup had suffered a stroke, had cancer, and even after she got to the shelter, she had a hard time. She seemed to have given up and stopped eating, resorting to just lying around. It wasn’t expected that she would live longer than a week. So the shelter manager, Kirstyn Northrop Cobb, took her home to help her feel loved in her last days.

Then, three days into her time at Cobb’s home, Lola’s condition began to improve, and she started perking up. It wasn’t long before Cobb decided to help her experience more of life, so she started up a bucket list for the pup that included going to the beach, exploring a park, dressing up for Halloween, eating fries at a restaurant, and having a family.

It’s been six months and Lola is still going strong! She’s even completed her bucket list, so Cobb is coming up with new activities to put on the list. What a strong pup! If this story made you smile, do share it around!
