There’s this widely spread rumour that dogs don’t like mailmen. Even in movies, it’s always shown how dogs chase after mailmen, trying to scare them away. But, in reality, dogs love when they show up at the door.
It was a normal night in Chatsworth, California. Kerri and Larry Ruiz had let Chico, their Chihuahua in the backyard to go potty. Everything seemed normal until they heard Chico shriek in pain.
Dogs are some of the most trusting beings in the world. They get attached easily and they love unconditionally. So, it was that much more heartbreaking when a small dog was beaten and almost died at the hands of the person he trusted most: his parent.
For stray dogs, life is rough and dangerous. Most times, strays don’t receive any help, and even if they are “rescued”, they are at risk of being put on a euthanasia list. For a chihuahua named Blondie, this could have been the reality.
