All things sleep, as they should. After all, although science doesn’t quite yet understand why we need sleep and what it does to us, the effects of having a lack of it are widely apparent! While we need at least 8 hours of sleep a day, pups need far more than that.
It varies from breed to breed and age to age, but they average about spending 12-14 hours a day sleeping. That’s basically half the day snoozing!
So just about any Mom or Dad will soon be familiar with the sight of their pups sleeping soundly just about anywhere. This particular Dad is watching their Beagle pup lying on his back and sleeping away the day on the couch.
It is somewhat comforting to watch this pup sleep – he clearly is sleeping soundly. And on a slow day like this, that makes it feel like all is well and right with the world.
