Here’s a fact we probably all know – there’s no such thing as “perfect”. You can never be the perfect dog parent anyone has ever seen, it’s just impossible. So quit being so hard on yourself because you know what? Being a dog parent is no joke, but trying to be the perfect dog parent can make things stressful.
There are different kinds of dog parents out there, but if you like schedules and agendas, this post is for you. Not only are you an overachiever, even your dog is – your personality sort of rubbed in on him. so if you like sticking to time, scheduling things ahead of time, planning and agenda-ing everything, here are some things only you can understand!
1. You love walking your dog from 7 am to 8 am every morning, but the 15 minutes they waste finding that perfect spot to poop and then circling that perfect spot before pooping just makes you want to scream!
2. Every night you put your dog’s toys away even when you know that in less than two minutes they’ll be back on the floor poking you when you walk. It doesn’t matter though. You have the urge to organize things whenever you possibly can.
3. 7 am exact and you’re out with your dog for a walk. It doesn’t matter if your dog is half-asleep, as long as time is respected. You’re going to be home at 8 am, after which you’ll feed your dog.
4. You have fixed timing to feed your dog, but of course, your dog doesn’t want to follow timing. You still only feed at the right time.
5. Within a few minutes, you can turn your kitchen into your dog’s pantry and vice-versa. Your friends are probably worried about your state of mind. But for you, as long as your dog’s stuff matches your kitchen decor, you’re happy.
