According to researcher Daniel Promislow, humans can learn a lot about aging gracefully after observing the aging process of dogs. If humans want to extend their quality of life, we’ve got to learn a few things from our dogs!

Researcher Promislow mentions, “Unlike most [animal] models used to study aging, dogs aren’t in a lab. They share the same environment we do.” Yes, even science agrees that we can learn a lot from our BFFs. Here are some things your dog wants you to follow so you can remain young and age gracefully!

1. Laugh!

Laugh as much as you possible can and whenever you possibly can! According to recent research, laughter can help lower stress, which is good for your health, your heart, and your blood pressure! dogs make goofy faces only to make us laugh, they know it’s important and it’s time we learn that too!

2. Express your love

Dogs would never shy from expressing their love for us! They jump when they see us, run around in circles, kiss us… basically, they don’t hold in their joy and we shouldn’t either. Yes, but don’t go jumping on people, or running in circles, that would be weird.

3. Sleep

When dogs are tired, they listen to their bodies and go to sleep, but humans, well we tend to want to finish work before getting some rest. According to research, “… sleep plays a critical role in immune function, metabolism, memory, learning, and other vital functions.” So get your rest, work can come later, because if you’re healthy, everything is perfect.
