Here are some breeds that are susceptible to heart problems.
1. Great Dane
This breed is vulnerable to Canine Heart Disease and preventive measures should be put in place to ensure your dog remains healthy and fit. Please speak to your vet to find out how you can help prevent heart problems in your dog.
2. German Shepherd
While these are one of the most loved dogs in the US, unfortunately, their breed has a history of heart problems, including Cardiomyopathy and abnormalities in the mitral valve.
3. Boxer
These dogs are the sweetest on the planet, but they can suffer from Cardiomyopathy, as well as other congenital heart problems.
4. Labrador Retriever
This breed is prone to obesity, which is the leading cause of heart problems. In order to prevent this from happening to your dog, please ensure they’re fed a proper diet and limit those table scraps, please!
5. Irish Wolfhound
These cute little beings are vulnerable to diluted Cardiomyopathy, and it is, unfortunately, one of the leading causes of their death. Please speak to your vet to put preventive measures in place.
