Dog parents from all over the world know that, sometimes, maybe all the time, they’re overprotective about their dogs!
We love our dogs to the moon and beyond people, so being overprotective is just one of telling people that nothing and no one can ever hurt my dog on my watch. And that, my friends, won’t ever change. Nope. Here are some signs you’re an overprotective dog parent!
1. You NEVER leave your pup alone. NEVER. You’re always watching them. They might find that a bit creepy, but you need to know and make sure they’re okay all the time.
2. You have invited your dog’s vet to dinner every week just so you can have medical advice any time you need it. Your dog coughs, you call the vet… just occasionally. We know.
3. Before you take your dog out for a walk, you manage to pack half your house into a tiny bag. Your dog MUST have everything they may never need on a 1-hour walk.
4. Your dog may want to take the treat a friendly stranger at the dog park is offering, but under no circumstances will you allow that. Sometimes, you taste the treat to make sure it is EXACTLY what your dog likes.
5. When other people pet your dog, you suddenly remember that you need to do something far, far away from that stranger petting your dog. So you pick your dog, say goodbye and leave. You’re extremely suspicious of EVERYONE!
How many of you relate to this?! Let us know in the comments! Watch out for Part 2!
