10 Tips To Help You Clean Your Dog's Hair From Your Floors And Furniture!

Our dogs shed – a lot. That doesn’t mean that you need to live life in fear of an unwanted carpet, however!

Here’s a list of tips and tricks you can use to keep your house clean:

1. Use A Rubber Broom

Rubber brooms are good for picking hair off linoleum, tile, or wood floors.

2. Turn On The Humidifier

Humidity prevents fur from clinging to all sorts of surfaces.

3. Have Dryer Sheets Handy

Slightly dampen a dryer sheet, and it’ll pick up hair from just about anywhere.

4. Dampen and Sweep Your Carpet Before Vacuuming

A spray bottle and a rubber broom will pick up a surprising amount of hair.

5. Rip Yourself A Strip of Tape

If you don’t have any, lint rollers work too!

6. Vacuum From Different Directions

This will help you pick up more hair from your carpet.

7. Rub Down Your Carpet With A Squeegee

Several swipes later should loosen up a surprising amount of fur.

8. Dampen Your Sponges And/Or Gloves

Fur and hair stick really well to dampened rubber gloves and sponges.

9. Use Damp Mops On Vinyl Or Hardwood Floors

This won’t be great for your mop, but you can pick up a lot of fur this way.

10. Run Regular Maintenance On Your Vacuum

Keeping it in tip-top shape will be essential to keeping your house hair-free.

Other Tips And Tricks

Prevention is always better than a cure. Make sure to brush your dog regularly, and to throw a blanket or a cover over your furniture to keep them clean of dog fur!
