Dogs need daily exercise to stay fit. But what happens when you don’t always have time for a long daily run? Here are 4 ideas for keeping your dog fit, even when your schedule is extra tight.
Switch It Up With A Friend
If you know someone who loves dogs as much as you do and has their own dog, you can take turns with walking duties. On one day, go for a nice long walk with their dogs and yours, then the next day, let them do the honors. This helps to get your dog daily exercise without tiring you out entirely.
Use A Dog Walker
Hiring a dog walker can be a great choice if you don’t have enough time to walk your dog yourself, if you’ll be away for a while, or if it’s just an especially busy week or two. A dog walker can help you on days when you can’t take your dog for their exercise.
Bike With Them
If your dog is especially active and is of a medium size, you can go for a bike ride with them. Make sure they can keep up with your bicycle speed and opt for a safe bike attachment so your dog can run along with you.
Take Fetch To The Next Level
Make your dog run extra far to play fetch using a ball launcher of some kind – or by throwing the ball extra hard!
