7 Benefits Of Massaging Your Dogs!

Dogs love when you pet them. But how about massages? If you’ve ever tried giving your dog a massage, you probably know that they absolutely love that kind of comforting, relaxing bonding time.

Just five to ten minutes of massage time per week can do amazing things for your dog!

To give your dog a massage, just follow these steps.

  1. Make sure your dog is nice and calm. A walk or some playtime beforehand can help them relax.
  2. Begin gently petting your dog everywhere while speaking in a soft voice.
  3. Start at the neck. Use a circular movement in your hands to gently massage that area.
  4. Move on to the shoulders, then chest, then front legs.
  5. Be aware of your dog’s reactions. Some dogs dislike leg massages. You should also be careful around the foot pads as they are very sensitive.
  6. Move on to the back, using the same movements to massage the spine.
  7. Move on to the tail, then the back legs. All done!
