It’s so much fun to bring your dog out to eat with you! But there are some things you have to keep in mind. Here are seven tips for canine dining.
Keep Them On A Leash
Even the most well-behaved dog can get excited when they see and smell so many new things, including yummy foods. Keep them close and restrained.
Bring A Dog Bowl
Many restaurants don’t allow dogs to eat from their dishes, so bring a dog bowl along.
Let Them Burn Energy First
You don’t want your dog to be too excitable when you’re at a restaurant. Let them get some exercise or play some rough games first so they’re suitably calm when you dine out.
Ask In Advance
Check with a restaurant first to see if they allow dogs or not. Don’t just assume it’s okay!
Don’t Let Your Dog Beg
Not from you and definitely not from the other customers! Make sure your dog knows better than to go around asking for a bite of possibly toxic food.
Go To The Bathroom First
You do not want your dog to need to go right in the middle of a meal.
Stay Calm
If you’re relaxed, your dog will be, too. Stay calm. Keep your dog relaxed and don’t let them bother others unless you have the okay from those people.
