Introverts don’t like to engage in small talk, it’s just not their thing. While introvert dog parents try to avoid the crown, their dog forces them out and magically people from all corners of the world come to talk to them – making them extremely uncomfortable!
Since you can’t avoid people, you have no choice but to deal with small talk! Having a dog doesn’t mean you’re open for conversation, but anyway… here are some things only introvert dog parents can understand! Here’s Part 1, in case you missed it!
1. You want to run away with your dog when someone asks you if they can pet your pup. Are there any other options? Sure, you may. But that don’t mean you can ask me questions. Pretend I’m not here. You cannot see me. Your honest reply?
2. Your friends constantly worry about you, and that’s because you don’t share your problems with them. But you have already spoken about them to your dog and you feel better already. You don’t need humans to listen to you if you have dogs. That’s just common sense.
3. You’re constantly telling your dog how much you appreciate that they adopted you and saved you from loud parties. Yes, that means you’re using them as an excuse to avoid people. The less people you talk to, the more time you can spend with your dog.
4. The safest place in the world for you is where your dog is. When you want to get away from the craziness of life, you turn to your dog to help you decompress. Too much human interaction is lethal for you.
How many of you are introvert dog parents? Let us know in the comments! Or don’t, I mean. Your wish!
