You don’t necessarily have to find a roommate who’s crazy about dogs, but you do need to find someone who will accept your dog and their funny antics. Here are some ways you and your dog can become the ideal roommate! Here’s Part 1, in case you missed it!
1. Make sure you keep an eye on your roommate’s relationship with your dog and this is to make sure that they both get along and are not getting on each other’s nerves. If things aren’t looking good, it’s time to look at a new place.
2. Always clean up after your dog and sanitize the area for your roommate’s convenience. Not only should you pick up his poop, but also sweep and mop every few days if your dog sheds too much. You’re probably okay to see some dog hair on your salad, your roommate isn’t!
3. If your roommate has a pet, make sure your dog and their pet get along! Arrange a meet-and-greet between your dog and their pets so that everything remains smooth in the apartment.
4. Appreciate your roommate when they help you out with your dog! A gift voucher and a bottle of wine go a long way when you’re thanking your roommate for helping with your dog. It’s not their responsibility, but they do it, so they deserve the appreciation, isn’t it?!
