The stories we come across of a species of animal adopting one completely different to their kind are so heart-warming we cannot help but feel the love!
These stories are often seen as viral videos on social media, for example, that of a cat curing up to a dog without a fight. Regardless of the types of animals, they are equally as lovely to hear about! A recent story popped up about a very special four-legged friend adopting a feathery family member as his own!
One afternoon, canine companion Hiro and his mom, Viviana, were relaxing in each other’s company. One moment they heard a strange noise coming from one of the fences, Viviana decided to ignore it, but Hiro was on his way to further investigate the situation. A little while later, Hiro had not returned, so Viviana went outside to go find him. There she found Hiro on the grass licking a small object.
When Viviana came closer, she saw he had in fact, found a baby bird in need of help. Viviana took the baby bird to the vet, who told her the feathery friend was temporarily paralyzed from falling out of its nest.
Viviana decided to look after it, and Hiro decided he was taking the brother role very seriously. He has not left the bird’s side since that day, and the two are basically best friends (and siblings!).
We know the bond between dog and human is special, but Hiro’s story shows us that the bond between different animals can be just as special too!
