Abandoned Dog Left On The Street In Extremely Poor Condition Makes Miraculous Recovery

The actions of some are so heart-breaking that we will never truly understand them. When we read articles of mistreated dogs, we feel a gut-wrenching twist and fail to see why one would get a dog only to mistreat it in the end.

As upsetting as these situations are, there is always hope and compassionate souls willing to help. This was the case for Tiggy, a few years ago just before Christmas time. Tiggy was found in Blythe, Northumberland right around Christmas time.

Animal rescuers saw a starved figure out in the cold and immediately came to her rescue. Upon the scene, they realized she was basically starved down to skin and bone and had been purposefully left on the side of the street. When news got out, the British authorities immediately put out a notice for any information about who could have done such a thing.

Tiggy was taken to the B-A-R-K animal rescue kennels in an attempt to save her life. The state she was in had rescuers worried that she probably would not even see Christmas, but this was not a place to give up hope. After treatment and feeding at the kennels, Tiggy slowly started showing signs of recovery.

In due time she was doing well and started trusting those around her. Her story gained the attention of thousands, who thoughtfully donated food and goods for her. Her recovery was nothing short of a miracle, and there are prospects of a new home for her!

Although the story of Tiggy is remarkable, it is important for us to keep looking for the people who did this to her. We need to unite against animal cruelty, and support those who save dogs from these situations on a daily basis.
