On Christmas Eve, founder of Speranza Animal Rescue Janine Guido spotted a dog curled up in an old empty box that was labelled “Chewy.com” in Pennsylvania. The irony wasn’t lost on Guido, who knew she had to help this stray pup alone in the cold.
Guido slowly earned the pup’s trust, and the dog became known as Noel due to the date she was found. Before long, Guido, who has plenty of experience reducing pups this way, got Noel into her car. The pup was so exhausted she could barely raise her head.

Noel stayed at the Speranza shelter for a while, but in March, the Bloch family came to inquire about a different pup, but staff knew Noel would be a perfect fit for them. Noel’s sweet and loving personality made her a great pick for them. And the moment Noel met the Block family toddler, Oliver, it was love at first sight, and that sealed the deal.

Noel loves staring at people, but she absolutely loves watching Oliver even more. Now, at home, Noel can’t be left alone next to Oliver without the two immediately beginning to snuggle! Whenever Oliver is away visiting grandparents, she spends the whole day looking for him. They’re best friends!

We’ll never know how Noel ended up on the street, but what we do know is that she’ll never have to feel that way again now that she’s found her forever home! It’s a Christmas miracle, indeed.
