Have An Active Pup? Here Are Epic Busters For Hyper Active Pups!

A fur ball who has a lot of energy to expend might need a lot of things to keep him occupied and away from destructive behavior.

Luckily, you don’t have to splurge on expensive toys – you can just recycle some things you have at home! Here are a few ideas!

1. Old T-shirt toy

Have a shirt you don’t want? Cut it into strips and braid it tightly and snugly for an easy DIY tug toy!

2. Drink bottle toy

Use an old plastic bottle, remove the lid and plastic ring, and give it to your pup for easy fun. That crinkly sound is one pups are sure to love! Be sure to supervise your pup thought, because too many hard chews can result in sharp corners and broken pieces. You can also fill the bottle with biscuits, or poke holes in it and fill it with crushed food. Make it into a frozen chew toy for hot days by half-filling it with water and freezing it on its side!

3. Muffin tin toy

Place food inside each old muffin tins and cover them with tennis balls or something similar for a great puzzle – your pup will have to nudge away the ball to get his treat!

4. Tennis ball toy

Cut a slit in an old tennis ball and place a treat inside it. Your fur ball will then chew on the ball until the treat reveals itself. Great puzzle for a fur ball who loves to chew!

5. Sand pit

Make your own sand pit in your house’s outdoor area by digging a pit using a kiddie clam-shell pool. You can choose to fill it with water if your fur ball loves water, or you can hide treats in there for an afternoon of fun!

I hope these suggestions gave you some great DIY toy ideas! Do remember to watch your fur ball while he plays if he’s the type of pup to chew up and tear apart his toys – you don’t want him ingesting anything he shouldn’t be! Like and share this with other pup parents to help them out, too!
