Adorable And Very Lucky Pup Narrowly Escapes The Scariest Potty Break Of Her Life

When most dogs step into the backyard to use the bathroom, they’re expecting a trip that’s not particularly exciting. But for Sprocket, her decision to head out to use the potty could have ended in disaster.

In Ontario, Canada, an ice storm was brewing and struck powerfully, and Sprocket stayed inside until it was over. Once it had cleared, she headed outside to do her business, stopping underneath a tree to do so. But what the pup didn’t know was that the storm had affected the tree, and one of its largest, heaviest branches was on the edge of snapping.

Sprocket’s Dad, Ben Lucier, was calling for the pup to come back inside, but she was taking her sweet time and investigating the new snow in the yard. Then, all of a sudden, she leaped up and took off running as fast as she could right back to her Dad.

A second later, the huge tree branch fell to the ground, where Sprocket had been standing mere moments ago.

Sprocket had likely heard the crack of the tree branch overhead and taken off dashing to the house in response. Meanwhile, the branch fell behind her, obscuring the entire yard.

A camera outside the home was able to capture the bone-chilling moment. Thankfully, Sprocket’s lightning fast reflexes and her instinct to run to someone she knew was safe – her Dad – saved her life. Dad is certainly very grateful that she’s okay!
