Being blind can be really difficult, to put it incredibly mildly. The world just wasn’t made for the blind, which makes navigating it an incredibly difficult task. While we humans have created systems that allow us to figure out how to get around, pups unfortunately don’t quite have something similar.
Sure, they have superior senses that makes blindness much less traumatic for them that it is for us, but they can still use a little help. Which is why Charlie the senior Golden Retriever from North Carolina managed to get his own seeing eye puppy after he had to have his eyes removed!
Maverick the seeing eye puppy is another Golden Retriever who is here to help out the older pup in his day-to-day activities. According to his owners, he has taken to his job with great gusto and has been caring for the older pup the best he can! What a heartwarming story.
