The loss of a pet is always one that is heartbreaking. And it is even worse when it is to some kind of illness. Just what could you have done to save your precious pup? If you had caught it earlier, would everything be alright? Alas, what’s done is done, and all you can do right now is cherish the memories you had with your pup.
Cena the Labrador Retriever passed away sometime in 2017, after a long and difficult battle with bone cancer. The 10-year-old bomb sniffing pup received a hero’s send-off during the last moments of his life with Marine Corporal Jeff DeYoung, who he met when he was just 9 months old.
He leaves behind his best friend and family, who all loved him dearly and now sorely miss him. When Cena became too weak to walk Corporal DeYoung had to pull his best friend along in a wagon making it quite heartbreaking to watch. We all miss you Cena, you are a hero.
