Adorable Dachshund Pup Shows The World How Chewing is Done!

Everyone meet this adorable dachshund pup who’s about to show you how chewing is really done! You don’t just suck on the bone, you actually chew it to release the juicy substance from within!

This adorable fur ball is having a blast, really. He’s having the time of his life with his favorite treat – the bone. Now I’m not sure how long he’s been chewing, but from what I see in the video, I think he’s going to be busy for another 30 minutes or more, I suppose. Talking about bones, are they safe?

This bone appears to be a rawhide which is not recommended for dogs. Yes, they make them specifically for dogs but that doesn’t mean they’re a good idea. They are filled with chemicals but that aside, they can also get stuck in your fur kid’s throat and cause choking if they swallow a big piece.

But what about regular bones? According to DogingtonPost, “If your dog swallows the shards from these cooked bones, he also runs the risk of internal injury. Cooked or raw pork bone. While feeding your dog cooked pork bones can also put him in the same splintering danger as cooked chicken or beef bones, raw pork bones can be unsafe for your pooch, too.”

Dogs like pretty much anything edible you’ll give them but make sure you check with your vet before giving your dog new bones to see what is truly safe and best for your fur kid. Take a look at this video on page 2 below!
