Adorable Dog Loves Bringing Toys To Her BFF Tortoise

One of the most adorable things about dogs is how they can form a close bond with anyone. A dog, Skippy, and a tortoise, Tilly D, live with their mum, Karen, and five other rescue siblings. However, the bond between Skippy and Tilly D is so strong that they are inseparable, despite their differences.

Talking about their friendship with Dodo, Karen said Skippy often brings Tilly D a new toy daily. “Every day it’s something different, so it’s either his squeaky toy or a stick,” she said. Aside from giving Tilly D toys, Skippy loves showering the tortoise with kisses and attention.

According to a post that Karen shared on social media, Tilly D used to live in a cage and suffered different things, including a cracked shell. Karen adopted him after the Humane Society rescued him in 2016.

When Karen brought Tilly D home in 2020, Skippy was nine weeks old but happily welcomed the tortoise into their family. It didn’t take long before the duo hit things off and became BFFs. It was barely a week after they met that Skippy started bringing toys to Tilly D, and two years later, there’s no sign she would stop soon.

Although Tilly D can’t reciprocate his affection for Skippy in the same manner due to their physical differences, he loves her dearly and never retreats to his shell when she is around.
