Everyone meet Brick, an adorable English bulldog who’s decided that it was today that he’s going to put all his fears to rest and that he’s going to conquer the stairs, but will he? Well, you’ve got to check this out!
According to the original uploader on Rumble, “Brick the Bulldog faces his biggest challenge yet as he is encouraged by his owner to conquer the stairs. But will he get it done? You can see that the spirit is willing but the flesh it weak!” Talking about stairs, many pet parents wonder if it’s good for their English bulldog pups.
Climbing up and down the stairs very, very frequently can cause hip dysplasia. According to Dogster, “Canine hip dysplasia is a genetic, progressive disease associated with abnormal joint structure, causing laxity of the muscles, connective tissue, and ligaments that normally support the hip joint and keep it in place. Approximately 25 percent to 30 percent of all dogs in the United States suffer from the condition, which results in pain, lameness and loss of mobility.” Either way it’s best to consult your vet to know more information.
It’s also important to note that many dogs don’t like going down uncarpeted stairs because they can be slippery. If you have dogs in your home, it’s a good idea to add some carpeting or strips to the stairs so they can get better traction and don’t have to worry about losing their footing!
