This adorable golden retriever pup was just minding her business, eating away her treats while she waited for her meal, but then all of a sudden, someone “dropped” by to give her a surprise! Take a look!

This adorable golden retriever shares her home with her best friend, a parrot and this parrot, well, just keeps to himself, but not today! This golden retriever pup, for example, was just eating her treats when seconds later, the parrot decided to play peek-a-boo with her! Boy did she freak out!

But can golden retrievers and parrots be friends? According to TheNest, “Golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers are affectionate, easygoing dogs who may tolerate parrots. Animal Planet rates both breeds as “very friendly” toward other animals. When introducing your dog to a parrot, watch carefully and monitor his reaction. If your dog appears interested but easily distracted, this is a good indication the two may get along. If the dog’s attention cannot be diverted and he is showing signs of predatory aggression, such as lunging, barking and growling, remove the dog immediately.
