Some pups are naturally water pups. Usually, breed heritage has a strong influence in this sort of characteristic. For example, the physical characteristics found in Newfoundland pups were because the pups were originally bred to help fishermen and to do water rescues. It certainly would put a damper on the situation if the pup was afraid of water!
In the end, however, each and every single pup is an individual, with their own unique personality quirks. This can include a love for water in breeds that normally don’t interact with large bodies of water. Not that this information bothers this German Shepherd puppy in any way – he just loves playing with puddles!
This puppy named Kellan was enjoying a romp through a park after some heavy rainfall when he found a waterhole! Predictably, he couldn’t help splashing around in it. It is just that fun, and we can’t blame him for it either!
