Dogs love food so much that they can often be sad when their mealtimes are over!
That’s what happens to Oliver the beagle pup, who doesn’t want dinner to be done already. As he processes this tragic turn of events, he visibly goes through all five stages of grief in the funniest way possible.
First, there’s denial, where the pup refuses to believe it’s done. He stands waiting patiently for more food to arrive. When he realizes it’s not going to happen, he moves into the anger stage and tries to get onto the kitchen counter to claim more food for himself.
Then, there’s the bargaining stage, which is when the pup goes up to his parent and whines in protest, tilting his head and trying to look as cute as possible to beg for more snacks. He then hits the depression stage and lies down sadly, unmoving, as he mourns the end of dinner.
Finally, there’s acceptance. The pup gets up and walks out of the kitchen, deciding to wait till the next day for more food. And that’s been your daily psychology lesson with Oliver!
