It seems like pups will bark at just about anything if they can get away with it! And this is especially so when pups are trying to protect what they perceive as their own territory – which often means the house and the yards surrounding it.
According to our pups, no strangers allowed on this lawn!
In Oliver the Beagle pup’s case, this even includes that of birds! Doves sometimes like to hang around on various parts of this pup’s house, which happens to be a situation that Oliver will not stand for. These doves may be having a special moment, but they are not allowed on the balcony under any circumstances!
As soon as Oliver spots the birds hanging out on the balcony through the blinds, he immediately starts barking at them. No entry allowed! They are supposed to leave now! Of course, the birds are quite used to the ruckus he makes on a regular basis, so it doesn’t look like all his barking is working.
