Dogs howl to communicate. Does your dog howl when they hear sirens? Probably because the pitch of those sirens tickles the ancient howling part of their brain and they get the urge to howl!
Some dogs will howl if they hear another dog howling in the distance. Don’t you just wish you knew what they were trying to communicate with those long-distance messages?! Brian the Dachshund has a keen sense of hearing (just like all other dogs). In this video, Brian hears the unique ringtone coming from mom’s phone and rushes over to it.
When mom doesn’t answer the phone, Brian whines and sings along! This can mean a few things. One, Brian is letting everyone know the phone is ringing and needs to be answered. Two, Brian wants the noise to stop! Three, Brian loves this ringtone and can’t get enough of it!
