Adorable Pup Who Helped Solve Crimes For Six Years Celebrates Retirement With A Delicious Cake!

With their superior sense of smell and hearing, their intelligence, and their trainability, a pup is often a much appreciated addition to the force. It is a long and arduous process that a pup must undergo in order to be accepted as part of the team – just like their human partners!

Unlike their human partners, however, selection often starts even before the pup is born. Normally, it will start by examining the breeding lines and the disposition of the sire and dam that will bear the litter, to have some general level of prediction over just what kind of puppies that will be born.

At some point though, it all comes to an end. After an illustrious career spanning 6 years, the 7-year-old German Shepherd named Buck is finally retiring from his position with the Clearwater Police Department. His team and Dad celebrate his retirement from the K-9 department by giving him a pup-friendly cake to eat!
