Adorable Pups Bring Comfort To Victims Of The Recent Florida Shooting

Jacob the golden retriever pup has been hard at work visiting those affected by the recent Florida shooting, which occurred in February.

He and other pup members – all golden retrievers – of the Lutheran Church’s K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry have been working tirelessly to comfort and support grieving friends and family.

Sadly, Jacob has been building up his comforting resume throughout the years with other devastating tragedies, and these statistics that mean he is needed more often are nothing short of heartbreaking. He was in Orlando after the shooting at Pulse nightclub in the June of 2016, and he also lent a paw during last year’s Las Vegas attack.

While the fact that these pups are needed for post-tragedy comfort and support is saddening, we’re forever grateful to these kind, compassionate, and intelligent pups for being there for those in need. You go, Jacob!
