The incredible amount of strength that pups have never fails to be a source of awe and inspiration to all.
When Chi Chi the golden retriever pup was rescued from a dumpster in South Korea, her paws had been mangled and infected from being strung together with wire. She was saved through the amputation of all her paws.
Now, the pup lives with her forever home in Arizona and uses four helpful paw prosthetics, but the battle for her was not over yet. So far, she has had two mast cell tumors surgically removed from her body. Both were a complete shock to her family, and it was found that the pup is genetically predisposed to cancer and will have to go for regular checkups.
Yet despite all her struggles, Chi Chi continues to stay strong and serve as a source of inspiration to those around her. She works as a therapy pup in hospitals and homes, where she is a favorite of fellow amputees, and she is always smiling, even as she continues to attend therapy to heal from her surgeries three times a week.
Chi Chi’s bravery and strength, and the immense amount of love she has to share, make her an incredible and formidable pup! We hope that her health will continue to improve!
